I am hoping you would be able to offer some advice for a rebuild for this standard motor.

currently there are no leaks but it is very under powered and suffers from some major flat spots, despite frequent tweeking the standard twin carbs constantly come out of balance.

I am after more torque, more reliability, greater economy if possible (currently 19mpg) etc

I have no need for heat exchangers as currently running eberspacher.

any thoughts as to what sort of direction i should be going would be greatly appreciated.
